Cause of Anxiety

 



The cause of anxiety can be psychiatric in nature, however there many medical conditions which can be the cause of anxiety.

Breathing difficulties can be very anxiety provoking. Anaphylaxis, asthma, chest pain, shock, COPD, heart failure, hyperthyroidism, and hyperventilation syndrome can all be the cause of anxiety.

Other diseases that can be the cause of anxiety include hypochondriasis, hypoglycemia, mitral valve prolapse, mood disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, pheochromocytoma, and phobias.

Pneumothorax, concussion, PTSD, pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism, rabies, and somatic disorders can all be a cause of anxiety.
