The cause of asthma is associated with animal dander, cockroach allergens, dust mites, and infection. Older patients with COPD can develop wheezing and asthma. Other causes of asthma include exercise-induced asthma, which is associated with broncospasm that occurs when exercising. Medications can be a cause of asthma, specifically non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, sulfa drugs, and beta-blockers. |
