Coronary artery disease is a common cause of chest pain. Other causes of chest pain, include angina pectoris, pneumonia, anxiety, aortic aneurysm, asthma, bronchitis, cardiomyopathy, and cholecystitis. Costochronditis, colonic distention, esophageal spasm, herpes zoster, and hiatal hernias can all be a cause of chest pain. Interstitial lung disease, pulmonary embolus, pneumothorax, legionnaires disease, lung abscess, mediastinal and is, and mitral valve prolapse can also be a cause of chest pain. |
