Otitis media is probably the most common cause of earache. There are many other medical disorders that can be a cause of earache including abscess, injury, cerumen impaction, frostbite, skin infection, and herpes zoster. Mastoiditis, Menier’s disease, middle ear tumor, myringitis bullosa, otitus externa, perichronditis, petrositis, and TMJ can also be a cause of earache. |
