Medical causes of itching include dry skin, anemia, pinworm infection, hemorrhoids, hepatobiliary disease, herpes zoster, Hodgkin's disease, leukemia, lichen planus, mastocytosis, multiple myeloma, and Mycosis fungoides.

Pediculosis, pityriasis rosea, polycythemia vera, psoriasis, kidney failure, scabies, and thyrotoxicosis can all be a cause of itching.

Urticaria, tinea pedis, vaginitis, medications, and bedbugs can also be a cause of itching.
