Dose dense chemotherapy is the term used to describe the administration of chemotherapy in a fashion to reduce the interval between doses.

This can be done by giving the patient medication to support their white blood cell count, which is generally limiting factor in many chemotherapy regimens.

Dose dense chemotherapy is often used in the setting of breast cancer, where clinical trials have shown that using certain combinations of dose dense chemotherapy can decrease the chance of recurrence in women with node-positive breast cancer.
