Galactorrhea symptoms are characterized by the production in discharge of milk from the breast. In lactating women this is normal and allows for nutrition for the newborn baby.

However, in women who have not been pregnant or any man, Galactorrhea symptoms are not normal. Galactorrhea symptoms are sometimes associated with elevated prolactin levels or adverse medication effect.

Galactorrhea symptoms may include enlarged breast tissue and a gynecomastia. Sometimes people will develop tenderness or painful breasts.
