Giardia symptoms occur in people infected by the protozoan parasite known as Giardia lamblia or Giardia duodenalis.


Giardia symptoms include profuse, watery, foul-smelling diarrhea with associated abdominal cramps, vomiting, and weight loss.


Sometimes people can become dehydrated. Other Giardia symptoms include fever, blood in stool, and abnormal production of foul-smelling gas.
