Hemorrhoids are veins around the anus that swell and protrude. Hemorrhoids can become painful, particularly if they become infected, inflamed, or thrombosed.


The most common symptoms of hemorrhoids are bleeding and pain during bowel movements sometimes from thrombosed hemorrhoids.
