Legionnaires disease symptoms result from infection with Legionella pneumophilia. The symptoms of legionnaires disease include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

Legionnaires disease symptoms often include the manifestations of lung involvement such as shortness of breath, cough, chest pain, and production of sputum.


Sometimes people develop legionnaires disease symptoms with neurologic findings such as headache, confusion, and difficulty sleeping.


Other legionnaires disease symptoms include fever, muscle aches, and joint aches. Generalized weakness and fatigue common.
