Lymphoma symptoms are characterized by swelling of the lymph nodes. There are lymph nodes throughout the body.

The lymph nodes in the neck, axilla, and groin are near the surface of the skin, so these are commonly the first areas noted to have lymph nodes swelling.

Patients may present with only enlargement of the spleen. Lymphoma can be separated in two types, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Hodgkin's lymphoma. There are more than 30 types of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The lymphoma symptoms can be somewhat variable.

The classic “B” symptoms are characterized by fevers, night sweats, and weight loss. Often lymphoma symptoms will be associated with fatigue, and a flu-like illness.
