Signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer can be very nonspecific and often the final diagnosis of ovarian cancer cannot be made until the patient is taken to surgery.

Approximately 60% of women have advanced disease when they are diagnosed. This occurs because ovarian cancer symptoms can be vague and the symptoms often don’t occur until the tumor has progressed.


Patients can have signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer which include, but are not limited to abdominal fullness, upset stomach, pain in the lower abdomen and pelvis. Women can have constipation and back pain.


Sometimes patients can develop enlarged lymph nodes in the inguinal region. Vague abdominal fullness and pain can occur and occasionally a mass can be felt by the patient or physician
