Pregnancy: Yeast Infection

Return to Home Page  Return to Symptoms Page

Pregnancy yeast infections are common. Candida can be cultured from up to 25% of pregnant women near the end of pregnancy. In one study, approximately 10% of women with symptomatic yeast infections were pregnant. Treatment is effective for women with symptoms, but the pregnancy yeast infection is likely to return and require additional treatment.

Symptoms of yeast infections often do not lead directly to the underlying diagnosis of pregnancy and many symptoms can be misleading. Please review all concerns and information found on this website with your health care provider.
