The classic rheumatoid arthritis symptoms include painful, warm, swollen, stiff, and red joints. The most common involved joints are the small joints of the hands and feet, however any joint can be involved.


In advanced disease rheumatoid arthritis symptoms can include disability associated with anatomic joint changes.


Other rheumatoid arthritis symptoms are less specific and include fatigue, weight loss, nonspecific aches and pains, fever, and generalized decreased energy.
