Sinus infection symptoms occur when there is in infection involving the frontal, sphenoid, and maxillary sinuses


Sinus infection symptoms, often include a runny nose (rhinitis), headache, nasal discharge, change in smell or taste, swelling around the eyes, or toothache. Patients can have a fever. At times, pain in the eye or ear may develop.


Culture with a sinus aspiration is one way to determine the underlying bacterial cause.
