A subarachnoid hemorrhage occurs when blood leaks into the subarachnoid space of the brain. This usually occurs in association with a hemorrhagic stroke. The subarachnoid hemorrhage symptoms include a sudden severe headache, sometimes described as the “worst headache of my life”.
