Syncope symptoms are characterized by sudden loss of consciousness. People may become confused when this occurs.
Syncope symptoms can occur for many reasons, all of which result in a decrease of blood flow to the brain. Syncope can occur when someone his dehydrated. Dehydration results in a decreased blood volume and a fall in the blood pressure. Other syncope symptoms include a fast heart rate or a slow heart rate. Sometimes people will have an irregular heart rate. Symptoms of syncope are often characterized by a low blood pressure with symptoms occurring when someone first stands from a sitting or lying position.
