Oral thrush is a yeast infection of the mouth.

Thrush symptoms are characterized by the development of yellow or white patches on the tongue and mouth. Thrush symptoms can be associated with pain.


Sometimes thrush symptoms are absent.


Oral thrush can be associated with many other conditions such as antibiotic use, steroids, or a weakened immune system. Oral thrush can occur in people using steroid inhalers.
